Are You Questioning Your Beliefs in Christianity?

If you're a strong believing Christian or have been a Christian your entire life, have you ever questioned Christianity or the Bible? Do you believe everything that you hear or read about that is related to Christianity? One last question before I start the article, do you even know how Christianity started?

I ask these questions along time ago, to myself and started to search seriously for the answers, about 30 years ago. I have found some answers that have satisfied my curiosity but these answers have led me to question more things and even start writing books to inform others about what I have found on my journey.

You were led to believe that all the stories in the Bible were true, even though your educators never took the time out to question them. Your Bible study teachers created an illusion of truth and you took it hook line and sinker.

Most of us rarely question authority figures for teachers. We accept what they teach us as facts until we get a little older and realize, that the lies have actually created problems in our lives.

You were probably raised a Christian, believing that the Bible was a holy book and if you actually had your own copy of the Bible, you could feel privileged or blessed. Is this you or someone you know?

I'm not asking you to throw Christianity out the window and quit going to church, I'm asking you to start questioning some of the events that took place in the Bible. For example, did Moses carve his own 10 Commandments or were they actually given to him by God, was Jesus born from a Virgin mother, did Noah actually build an ark, and then proceed to round up every living animal from all the continents around the world.

If you're not questioning the Bible or your religion, you might not be growing as a Christian. Have you ever thought of that? Your knowledge about the Bible should be important to you and your family. You can acquire more information about the Bible through books and start asking yourself questions like, Did God Actually Say That?
