| Christian Excuses When God Doesn't Help | ||||

By Gregory B Articles For Christians There has been so many times in my life, and the lives of others that I've known for years, that don't seem to work out like they expected to. Some of these people choose to give God credit, while others tend to blame God for all of the bad. If you're like me, you've asked God for things and haven't received them. Here's how I look at it, I'm simply asking for something, if I don't receive it, I try to put a little more effort into it and figure out, how I can acquire the things that I'm asking for and stay at it. Here's what I don't do, I don't think that an invisible man is giving me something or taking something away from me. If I ask for something, and God knows that I have, I'd probably ask for more things than most Christians do in their entire life. That's probably the only reason why I haven't gotten some of the things, I've asked for. I'm not about to blame God or make excuses up for him. If I receive something that I'm asking for, great if I don't, I continue asking and doing, until I receive, what ever it is that I'm asking for. I'm not about to blame God, because I haven't received something anymore. I used to do this in the past, but no longer. I assume the responsibility for my actions. If I don't receive something, I don't tell myself a bunch of lies or make up any excuses. Here's a couple of excuses that I hear that don't make much sense to me. God wants it to be this way, God's going to give it to me in the future, there's got to be a good reason why God isn't giving it to me right now, God knows best and I will receive it when I have learned my lesson. Do any of these excuses sound familiar? I truly don't believe that God is trying to penalize you, by not giving you something that you're asking for. I don't even know if it's within God's control, to give you, something that you're asking for, without you putting a little effort into it on your own. If you want to quit arguing, try to put some effort into your relationship, if you want a better job, figure out what you need to do and do it. There's an old saying, that makes a lot of sense,” God helps those who help themselves.” You can sit around and live a life in pity and feel sorry for yourself, or you can take some action and try to change the things in your life that you don't like. What ever you do though, quit blaming God, because he's not helping you. |
