For years, I have been suggesting that Christians start to do some serious research about early Christianity. One of the best ways to do this, would be to form a Christian research group. This group can consist of people from other religions, nonbelievers and of course you could even include your Christian friends.

When you form your Christian research group, one of the most important things that you're going to need to do, is to select a leader, for this organization. The leader doesn't have to be anyone special, just make sure that you select someone, that can keep the meetings going, if they become stuck on one topic for too long.

The group should agree on a specific study day and time to meet, and as your group becomes larger, you might need to think about a different place to meet, especially if you're meeting at someone's house, and they just don't have the room anymore to accommodate all of the people in your growing Christian research group.

What topics are you going to be studying? I would suggest that you start to study the Council of Nicaea, the Roman Emperor Constantine, early Christianity, Biblical Authors, Bible contradictions, atheists thinking, other religions and any other thing that you could possibly think of, that could help you find the truth out about Christianity.

It wouldn't be a bad idea, to focus on a few of these things right off the bat. Starting with Bible contradictions, this will often motivate a group to do some serious brainstorming. If your pastor or church leaders aren't a part of your group, this might be a benefit. I would suggest that you write out a list of questions, to ask your church leaders on a regular basis.

If your church leaders aren't interested in answering your questions, invite them to one of your meetings and if they're not interested in either one of these, your group should give some serious thought, to joining another religious organization.
