	Christians Need to Be Aware of Guilt and Fear
	By Greg Vanden Berge Articles For Christians God Said What Videos If you’ve ever read the Old Testament, you can get a really good idea about fear and the fear that this God created for his followers. When you read the New Testament and truly believe that Jesus is God, you get an entirely different picture of a compassionate, loving and understanding God. Which one is it, do we need to be afraid of God or do we need to love and cherish him. The New Testament states that Christians don't need to follow the laws of the Old Testament, yet it’s still attached to the New Testament, giving Christian followers the Holy Bible. What does this mean and why do we need to be confused and manipulated? I don't know why we need to be confused or what the purposes of making statements that contradict each other, but to live in a world fearing your Creator instead of loving him doesn't make much sense to anyone except for those that are asking for large donations constantly. As I see younger Christians singing and dancing and worshiping God in a different way, it brings me a little bit of hope. I'm glad to see the older Christians falling by the wayside and also enjoying these types of church services. If you can imagine a young Christian of today, transported back in time 100 years ago, you might have a problem, especially if this person was going to carry their modern-day beliefs into old Christianity. The methods of the past aren't working in the present and the methods of the present probably won't work in the future. Guilt and fear were obviously used to control and manipulate Christian followers and believe it or not, things haven't changed much today. There's no need for you to make other Christians, feel guilty and I don't remember it ever saying anything like that in the Bible. If Christianity is planning on surviving, it's going to have to get rid of pastors and church leaders who thrive on guilt. If you look at the largest religions in the world, it's easy to see how important guilt and fear actually are. These religions will stop growing as other religions that offer hope without suffering start to pave a new path into the future.
