By Greg Vanden Berge Articles For Christians God Said What Videos There are some people, who believed that Jesus was a man and later became God. Others believe that Jesus was God, and he came down to earth as a man, but had godlike abilities. Others believe that Jesus and God worked together from the very beginning and each of them share the title of all knowing entities. Now let's take any luck at the first one here, let's just say that Jesus was a man, and upon death, he became a godlike entity. If this is true, we could actually make some sense out of John 5:6. Jesus might not have known everything at that one point during his life. Let me share the Bible verse that I'm talking about with you. John 5:6 (ASB) When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" Jesus had to ask the man a question. An all knowing, entity, wouldn't need to ask anybody anything. Let's try to make some sense out of the second Jesus. This would be a man who came down to earth and always had godlike abilities. John 5:6 would create a problem for this kind of Jesus. An all-knowing entity, would know the answers to any question that he himself would ask. So in other words, why would he ever need to ask anyone, any questions, about anything? It doesn't seem to make much sense, a superior being like God or Jesus, wouldn't need to ask anyone for any advice, wouldn't need to second-guess anyone's answers, would probably have the ability to read someone's mind and understand their thoughts. Does this make sense or am I looking at this through rose colored glasses. |
