Does God Speak through Scripture? Simple Test of Faith

Some people can hear God's voice inside of their head, while walking down the street, reading the Bible or doing monotonous chores around the house. Is this really what you're hearing, is it really God speaking to you and does anyone really know, for sure, without a doubt, that these are actually voices from an external God.

Here's a simple test to prove to yourself, whether God is speaking through Scriptures while reading the Bible or speaking to you, while you're reading another book.

Before you start reading the Bible, make sure that you have a piece of paper and a pencil, to make notes with. After that, make sure that you are sitting in a comfortable chair, in a peaceful environment. Try to select an area where there isn't very much noise or distractions.

Now, you can start reading the Bible and any time that a thought comes into your head that you believe to be God or some sort of infinite Spirit, write these thoughts down. Do this for at least 15 minutes or until you have at least two inspired thoughts from God.

How can we really tell or know that God gave us these inspired thoughts? Scientifically speaking, you can't, but if you really believe that these words came from a divine source, eventually these thoughts will become beliefs and these beliefs can take the form of an inspired life. Whether that life is going to be good or bad is completely up to your beliefs.

Now what about, other books, you will need to read other books and perform the same test, to see if you get the same results.

For example, if you start to read the book,” Tom Sawyer,” you could find yourself having the same sort of inspired thoughts. Now what do you do?

Here's what I'm suggesting, sometimes we want to believe in something so much, that our mind will actually start to work overtime, producing thought inspired religious events.

Once this starts to happen, you will start to see inspiration from God in almost everything you're doing, on a daily basis. When you're reading the scriptures, dreaming, or talking to a friend, your mind will start to wrap itself around certain events and create special religious beliefs, that these beliefs could actually mean something.

This is when we start to believe that God is trying to communicate with us, but is he really. You don't know for sure that God is standing there, watching and protecting you or even trying to communicate with you.

Whenever someone tells me that God has told them something, because of something that they read in the scriptures, I will ask them, how do you really know, for sure that God is actually talking to you.
