Does the Bible Really Say That? - Women Speaking in Church

By Gregory Berge Articles For Christians

This article is written for every male chauvinist man, that has never been born. If you're really interested in controlling your Christian women, youth came to the right place. The Bible specifically says that women are not allowed to speak inside church. I have known plenty of men, my entire life who have quoted out of the Bible, only the information that is relevant to their lifestyle, or in other words the lifestyle that they choose, selfishly.

Any man that thinks a woman should be subservient to them, is not only selfish but controlling. Any woman who chooses to be subservient to a man, is probably brainwashed and has extremely low self-esteem.

Now what about the women who might be interested in reading this article. If you're interested in women's rights, I'm not talking about Women's Lib or Extreme Women Rights Activist, I'm talking about any woman who is alive and has the ability to reason. Here's what the Bible says. "1 Corinthians 14:34 let your wives keep silent in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as the law also says."

Now if you have to, read that Bible verse again, take your time. Whatever... Let your wives keep silent in the assemblies. Come on man, who are we kidding, most men can tell their wives and anything, let alone to be quiet inside a church. Not only do women have rights but wives have rights as women, married to men. This subservient crap is a thing of the past.

There are plenty of other Bible translations that don't make much sense but seem to make sense to some Christians, even though they choose to ignore them. As a woman, what's going through your mind right now?. Have you ever talked to anyone in church or ask a question while you were inside God's Holy Temple. What should your penalty be and who is going to be the person who disciplined you?

I don't mean to sound like someone living in the 21st century, but when are we going to start applying common sense to Bible verses like these. Do they make sense? Do you realize they were written almost 2000 years ago? Will they still make sense 2000 years from now?

Men wrote the Bible and this is what we have to deal with. I've always wondered, what the Bible would have been like if women had wrote it.
