Here's three people who have something in common, two of them are still alive today and one of them died over 150 years ago. Greg Vanden Berge and Bill Maher are still alive today, while the great Thomas Jefferson, rests in peace after a life long struggle with his religious beliefs.

The author of this article is Gregory Vanden Berge, that's me and I'm trying to spread the news that there are plenty of problems with religions all over the world. I'm not professing to know everything and have all the answers, but would love to have someone provide me with educated answers that make sense about religions all over the world.

Bill Maher has recently released a movie called,” Religulous.” I watched this movie, not really knowing much about Bill, but we seem to be think along the same lines about religion, especially Christianity. Bill is simply asking questions that very few people can provide satisfactory answers for about religion.

Now what about the world-famous Thomas Jefferson. Third president of the United States of America and one of the most self educated men who ever lived. He's listed as one of the American Presidents who didn't belong to Christianity. I heard that, he even rewrote the Bible, leaving out the miracles of Jesus, trying to make it more believable.

What do all three of these men have in common? They're asking questions that most religious leaders can't answer or don't want to answer. They're trying to get people to think and question their beliefs.

I'm asking you here today and I'm sure that these two other men would ask the same question,” Why do you believe in, what you were taught to believe in without even searching for the truth?”
