Is God Suffering with World Wide Starvation Today?

Sometimes I lay in bed at night wondering if God is thinking about the same things that I'm thinking about or worrying about the same things that I'm worried about. If God created everything, do you think that he is disappointed or happy with the way things are turning out?

Whenever one of my children, whom I took a part in creating, gets hurt or is sad, those emotions get transferred to me and I feel sad for them. I feel their pain and looking at their faces or reading their body language, can often fill me with sadness. How come I can't help them feel better, instantly?

If God created everything and knows everything that's going to happen, I guess that would provide him with a little sense of relief. Knowing that there is starvation and world hunger and it isn't going to stop, could provide God with a little bit of relief.

If I was the creator of everything, I would see no need for world hunger and people to starve to death. I would see no need for pain or mortal death either. I would also see no need for 50 different religions that seem to carry the same message in a different way, to different people who live in different countries.

I guess what I'm trying to say is… this is one of the reasons why I don't believe that God is everywhere and controlling everything. If God helps those who help themselves, maybe these people just aren't helping themselves enough, but that doesn't make any sense either. I don't have all the answers, but what I do have is a suggestion for anyone reading this article.

Who really wants to be a part of any religious organization that believes in this kind of life? I feel the small pains when someone else is hurt and I don't even know what's going to happen to them in the future.

How can a loving Creator watch people die, when he can provide them with anything at any time, according to most major religious beliefs? I think it's time for you and your friends to put your thinking hat on and start rethinking your religious beliefs or systems.

Think about it, just stop and think about it for one minute.
