Do not have any other gods before me is one of the 10 Commandments that seems to be creating problems for Christians and they can't even see it. This was a big problem in early Christianity, but was easily resolved as church leaders convinced their followers that Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit were actually one single God.

These three separate entities formed one God and this one God was the God Jehovah from the Old Testament. Don't forget that each one of these entities were separate entities, before man made them into one entity. I'm often amazed at how easily it is to convince anyone, about anything.

Some of these things were even written down in a book that they worshiped from. If the Old Testament makes a couple of statements like, “You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.”

Or another statement like,” You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,” does this mean anything to anyone or am I my just talking to myself.

If God knows everything, why wouldn't he have skipped the Old Testament and went right to the New Testament? Why would he need to make people suffer, if eventually he was going to send a living God to earth and change everything?

If the God of the Old Testament Jehovah is right, wouldn't the God of the New Testament Jesus, be wrong. If there is only one God to worship, how could we possibly have another one?

I'm not the first person to think of this, this seems to be a big problem with the Muslims and Jews who only believe in one God and that's the God from the Old Testament. It wouldn't be the first time that a majority of people were wrong and a minority of people were right, would it.

All we need to do is look back at history to see this and how do you think religions of the world today are going to be viewed by people living 500 years from now.
