| Keeping Christians within Their Boundaries | ||||

By Greg Vanden Berge Articles For Christians God Said What Videos I often find myself involved in conversations with Christians and some of these Christians are trying to convert me, because they feel sorry for me. They fear that they will get to go to heaven without me and I will have to burn in eternity, simply because I don't believe in their God or gods. Where do these thoughts come from? Is it from their early childhood, when they were teenagers or were these thoughts embedded in them when they were young adults? What Christians right and others wrong? The boundaries are formed early in your life. Most Christians don't even doubt that Jesus is God. It's hard for me to imagine that, because I've spent so much time studying Christianity and other religions. How did that Christian Church convince their followers to only study Christian materials? I'll tell you the truth, its fear and fear has created followers that are afraid to question their own religion. I don't know how many presentations I've watched, where some one, went out of their way to mention this next statement, like it was a fact,” The only book you will ever need to read is the Holy Bible.” This isn't true and you shouldn't believe it. Now let me ask you this, if you're a practicing Christian and share similar beliefs. Why would you be afraid to study outside of your religion? If your religion is right and all the other religions are wrong, wouldn't this give you more ammunition to support your claims about God? Does this or doesn't it make sense? The religious boundaries have been set by your predecessors. They are afraid of losing their followers and have created rules like these to protect Christianity. Any organization that is strong, is strong enough to accept criticism and deal with any problems in a constructive way. You should be able to ask any questions, until you have been given answers that are acceptable to you. Don't forget that your main objective is the truth and any time someone tries to sidestep from it, explain your position to them and repeat your question. You're looking for a satisfactory explanation or even a little bit of evidence, that's all. I sincerely believe that you should educate yourself outside of Christianity and educate yourself about early Christianity. Where did it start and what is their goal. Don't let your church bully you into believing anything different. The truth usually comes out in the end, the more research that you do, the less that you will accept the church boundaries for preferred study materials. |
