First things first, there are plenty of God's in
the world today to worship, the God that I am talking about would
be, any one of them. What would your life be like without God? If
you don't believe in God, you won't be missing anything. However, if
you do believe in God, this could leave you feeling empty inside.
Let's use an example here, you're Jewish and your gods name is
Jehovah and he has taken care of your family for generations. You've
never met him, probably never even heard him speak to you but his
influence has always surrounded you and the rest of your family.
Now let's remove God, and what do we have. A family who isn't going
to be asking God for things, isn't going to be giving him credit for
good things or blaming him for the bad. Whenever you get into a
tough spot, you're going to have to make the decision on your own or
ask another person for some help.
To some deeply religious people, they can't imagine their lives
without God, they've grown dependent on him and his paternal
presence. This God has always taken care of them and will continue
to look out for them, even after they die.
The example above, shows a family who has always known God, but what
about a family who never knew or heard of him. What about an atheist
or agnostic family, who has never worshiped or asked God for help.
This is what your life would be like without God. You wouldn't be
asking an invisible source for information. You would learn to
maximize your resources to gain wisdom and you would die with no
expectations of going anywhere. You would simply be dead and you
would be completely fine with that type of thinking.
People who don't believe in God, seemed to be hard to spot. They
look like and act like, others who believe in God. They seem to go
to work and are responsible for their choices. It's hard to separate
them in a crowd or at a church revival.
There is no visible difference, most of the time.
People who don't have God in their lives, don't expect miracles or
assistance from him. Some of these people even believe that the
answers, that they're looking for are inside of them already. They
simply have to ask themselves the questions and within a short time,
they will have the answers they need.
In other words, those who believe in God, depend on him and those
who don't, seemed to depend on themselves.
