You're not going to be able to take the Bible out of context and you're going to have to read it literally. In other words, make sure that everyone in your Bible study group is on the same page and no one is going to twist or manipulate any Bible scriptures. If it doesn't say it in the Bible, don't judge it or look for secret codes to explain it. If I may, let me give you the most important Bible study group question that any Christian can ask,” How do we know for sure that Jesus of Nazareth was the son of God or actually was God?” Now I know what you're thinking, how can you possibly be a Christian without believing that Jesus was the son of God? It's simple, if Jesus wasn't God, there isn't any need to study Christianity. If Jesus wasn't the son of God and things in the Bible aren't true, why should you continue going to church. This is the most important question and should be put at the top of your priority list for Bible study. Now for the hard part, how in the heck are we ever going to figure out, whether Jesus was the son of God or not. I am leaving that up to you and the rest of the people in your Bible study group. I do have a suggestion for your group though, you might need to study other religions and early Christianity to truly find the answers you're looking for. The truth shall set you free and if you seek I shall give sounds like something from the Bible, doesn't it. I hope you find the answers that you are looking for.
