	One Man's Powerful Beliefs in the Bible
	By Gregory B Articles For Christians I was talking to a man who was telling me about how powerful the Bible is. I ask him to explain himself, because I was truly interested in what this person had to say. He told me that the Bible can cure illness, heal people with cancer, and all sorts of other miracles. He proceeded to tell me that the Bible, had provided his family with numerous miracles and its power isn't yet known to man. What this man said, made sense to me, but he wouldn't listen to me, when I started asking him a couple of questions about his beliefs in Christianity. He wanted to tell me something miraculous that happened to his family, but was only going to tell me this, if I wasn't going to ask him any questions. This happens to me a lot, someone tells me about the power of the Bible, without understanding the power of a simple belief. This man doesn't know for sure, that the Bible has provided his family with miracles, but I would imagine that there are quite a few people around him, that could easily reinforce his beliefs. This seems to be a bigger problem, with older people than with younger people. I've often wondered, how to remove the superstition from Christianity. People carry powerful symbols around with them like crucifixes, Bibles and pictures of saints, to prevent harm and protect them from evil. I don't know for a fact, that these miracles never took place or that they truly were miracles. What I do know, is that our beliefs can produce miracles, if that's how we want to perceive them. Your mind is extremely powerful and don't underestimate it. If you don't believe what I'm talking about and you truly believe that you have objects that produce miraculous events, I would like to suggest that you start studying anthropology or try to study other religions that believe in the power of an object. Often by studying other religions, you can get a clearer picture of your religious views.
