Anyone who knows who I am, knows that I make videos and write a lot
of articles, dealing with spirituality and religious issues. Most of
my writing is directed towards Christianity and Bible study. I am
trying to get people to think about their religious beliefs and try
to motivate them to put some serious effort into the origins of
their beliefs.
Real social pressures, directly related to religion can happen in
your family, workplace or even in your community. I made a video on
reversing religious conversion and here's what someone said in a
response to this video.
“I left a religion kinda like that. I like to debate but I'm always
afraid to impact the people who so closely adhere to the social
structure they've attuned themselves to. I know what it's like to
have everyone I know ostracize me all at once for questioning things
pertaining to the core beliefs that unify them as a religion, and it
makes me afraid to ever have to be the guy who puts another person
through that. But it was a good learning experience, so I know it
has to be done. And good job.”
If you're a practicing Christian, atheist or nonbeliever, your views
and opinions can influence people who care about you or even those
who look up to you. It's your responsibility as an intelligent and
educated person to make sure that you do not impose your religious
views and beliefs onto other people, who could be easily influenced.
I can't believe how many people contact me and thank me for making
the videos and writing the articles that most people are afraid to
make or write.
Religious social pressures come from everywhere, newspapers,
magazines, television's and now they're even coming from movies on
the big screen. For anyone involved in what I would consider extreme
religious conversion or even persecution to other beliefs, I would
like to say one thing. You need to provide an objective opinion
about your religious beliefs, instead force-feeding, and your
beliefs onto unsuspecting possible conversions.
Good religious views, can often inspire, great religious thinking
and great religious thinking can produce amazing teachers.
