I have met quite a few religious followers, that don't even think about talking to others outside of their religious community. There are some people that live sheltered lives and never seem to develop the ability to think outside of the box. Some of these people live in confined environments and never get to experience the joys of someone else's opinion.

If television was never invented, I might not have ever seen the light. I could still be living with the same beliefs of my parents and their parents. Living in the United States, you could probably guess what my religious beliefs were. I was a Christian.

Watching a program one day, inspired me to change my life. My religious beliefs were influenced by an outside opinion about someone living on the other side of the world. If I wouldn't have been watching that television program or been exposed to large amounts of information, through books and other educational media programs, I might still be living in, my own sheltered environment.

I have met plenty of people, that believe, that there is too much information and it has corrupted people's minds. These people have often told me, that I'm a good example of an over educated person. I have even heard some of these people tell me that God never wanted us to know this much stuff. That doesn't make any sense, especially if your god is supposed to be intelligent.

Outside religious opinions, often inspire change and even if it's only one step at a time, you will soon find yourself creating a totally different life. Education is the key to enlightenment and religious freedom.
