| Religious Comfort in Eternal Torture | ||||
|
By Gregory B Articles For Christians Most religions believe that they will either be reincarnated or will get to enter a wonderful place like heaven after they die. There really isn't enough proof to support an afterlife, but quite a few people believe that they will be going somewhere after they die. This provides a line of religious followers with a comfortable feeling that someone will be taking care of them after they die and that their life isn't going to end. There are actually quite a few people who believe this and the fear of not being able to enter these wonderful places or be reincarnated, will actually keep them in check. These people will remain decent and moral people, because they're afraid of the penalties if they aren't. I don't mind people believing in what ever they choose to believe in, but I don't like it when they pass these beliefs onto others, including their family members. They use fear and guilt to convert thousands to share similar beliefs about their religion. These people will often, even though they aren't educated properly, force their religious beliefs upon weak minded people. These weak minded people become converted to share the same beliefs of those who never even took the time to educate themselves enough about their own religious beliefs. Well, with all that said I would like to make a point and see if you're one of those people who often enjoys the religious comfort and beliefs that those who you cannot convert, will be tortured in purgatory for the rest of their life. It doesn't seem fair, just because someone doesn't want to live a life of fear and guilt and chooses not to believe in something that doesn't have enough evidence to support what it's actually saying, will need to burn and be tortured for eternity. For all of you people who take pleasure in the religious comfort that these people will live a life of eternal torture, you'd better re-examine your religious beliefs about the emotional feeling you are having about comfort, from someone else's pain or agony. |
