You could virtually guarantee that most atheists wouldn't have much to stand on, if it wasn't for the Holy Bible. There are statements made within this book that are confusing and often create problems for believers, as well as nonbelievers.

If the Bible was written by God and God is the creator of everything, then I think it's safe to assume that there shouldn't be very many contradictions or mistakes within it. If a human being writes a book and this individual isn’t omnipotent or all-knowing and then this book is edited by another individual who also isn't all-knowing or omnipotent and there aren't very many mistakes or contradictions, what does this say about God?

If man can write books with relatively few mistakes and a limited amount of contradictions, I would imagine that God could easily perform this task also. If the Christian God actually created everything, all of the plants and animals, our solar system and somehow position the earth, to make life possible. It seems like he would be able to write a book that was easy to understand and with few problems.

Does this or doesn't it make sense? Why would the Bible need to be such a difficult book for the average person to understand? Why would God say that he loves us, as we watch thousands, if not millions of people die each year from starvation?

I don't really know if the Bible needs to be rescued from itself, but I do know this, anyone who makes this statement,” The Bible is the written word of God,” should be able to provide us with a little bit of evidence to support their claims.
