Scientific Evidence Available When the Bible Was Written

I want you to think about something for a second, 2000 years ago, the Earth was the center of the universe, the earth was flat and gravity wasn't even a word yet. The scientific evidence available back then, could easily support most of the religious text written at that time.

If you look at the Old Testament, you will read things that apply to that period of time. If you look at the New Testament, you will find things that apply and make sense during those times. If you read both the New Testament and the Old Testament together today, there's a good chance that the scientific evidence available today will make as much sense as it did 1000, 2000 or even 3000 years ago.

Let me give you an example, before Galileo, it was hard for scientists to prove that the earth rotated around the sun, after Galileo, scientists could deliver satisfactory evidence to change Copernicus’ theory into a fact.

Even with the knowledge and scientific evidence, the Christian church, refused to believe this and actually put Galileo in jail, for his beliefs. They let him out later, on the agreement that he would not pursue these ridiculous theories ever again.

Even today, scientists and scholars have produced large amounts of evidence that create problems within Christianity. Throughout the centuries, science has forced this religion to change some of its ideology.

If you're a Christian and you believe that Jesus is and will always be God, you should start educating yourself on early Roman and Christian history. You might be surprised at what you will find.
