Second Guessing God or Jesus

If everything in the Bible is true, why are there so many nonbelievers and atheist with questions about it? If God created everything, why would he create the opposition to oppose his true beliefs and writing? Think about this for moment, before reading the rest of the article.

Jesus wants us to love our neighbors and forgive them, but God wants to kill people who oppose his way of life. Jesus says that we don't need to be circumcised, yet God stresses the importance of this in the Old Testament.

If you're simply going to follow everything that you learn without question, I guess you wouldn't need to second-guess God or Jesus. However, if some of this stuff sounds a little nutty or doesn't really make sense, welcome to the club. I have been second guessing God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for quite some time now and am more confused today than I was when I started.

My parents taught me to question some things and accept other things. The older I got, I learned to question everything and except very few things. At the age I am today, I question everything and rarely accept anything as of fact or truth, but view most of the information as just more information.

I'm not telling you to question everything about every religion or even your own beliefs, I'm asking you as a friend to question some of the stuff that really doesn't make any sense to you. Just because you were taught to believe something, doesn't mean that it's true.

You've got to remember that a belief is simply information that someone else told you was true. A belief cannot be a fact, until there is enough satisfactory evidence to support it. You might not want to second-guess God or Jesus, but it's your obligation as a Christian to do so.

Didn't Jesus get mad at the money changers in the temple? Didn't Noah question God and the flood that was coming? You need to do the same and start questioning some of the information that you have been taught to believe in.

Only by learning and educating yourself, will you be able to find the truth and sometimes the truth is more important than anything else you will be seeking for the rest of your life.
