Sinful Fornicators Go to Hell - Creating Fear for Christians

By Gregory Berge Articles For Christians

I was reading an article the other day from a popular author about fornicating and what it actually means. What will happen to fornicators, do they get to enter the kingdom of heaven, the Promised Land and live in an eternity of bliss.

Here's a quote from the article,” These are people that have a sexual relationship that they are in however they are not married. If these people die in this state, say in a car crash, they don't go to heaven, but they go to hell.”

And here's the actual Bible verse that the author is referring to, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (New King James Version)"9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."
Was this article written to help Christianity in a positive way or to create fearful Christians? How can we have a God that forgives us of our sins and at the same time, he isn't going to let us enter the Kingdom of God, because we have done one sinful things.

Think about this for a moment. He will forgive us for our sins, but we can't enter the Kingdom of God, if we do something that is sinful. Stop reading this article and give this some thought before you continue.

A loving and just God, who created us in his image, yet needs to lead with fear.

If someone dies in a car crash and they've had sexual relations with someone who they weren't married to, it isn't bad enough, that they don't get to go to heaven, but now they have to spend eternity, being torture living in hell. There isn't much fear in that last statement, is there.

The author of the article defined fornication, but neglected to define sexual relations. Let me give it a shot here and you can be the judge, even though Christians aren't suppose to judge anyone.

A definition of sexual - relating to sex, sexuality or sexual organs.

A definition of relations - Any meaningful connection or association between two or more things.

My definition of sexual relations - someone kissing another person, sexual intercourse, someone touching another person inappropriately, flirting or someone touching another person, willingly in a sexual manner.

To bring this article to a conclusion, if you have ever kissed anyone outside of marriage, had sexual intercourse, touched another person inappropriately or fondled someone in the heat of passion, but didn't go all the way, you're going to hell.

Here's my suggestion for anyone who has fornicated. Give up Christianity and quit going to church. If you're not going to heaven anyway, why not live the rest of your life as a decent and moral person and quit associating yourself with Christian leaders who need to create fear, so that you can feel guilty and they can feel like they are doing God's work.

Fear often creates anxiety and stress. I can't imagine how tortured a good Christian must feel, who believes this stuff. I have actually met a few of them and their lives revolve around the mistakes that they have made in the past. They continue to ask for forgiveness for the things that they have done in the past. The sad part about this is the confusion in the Bible.

The Bible tells us to forgive others, love others and to follow certain rules and then states that only 144,000 people will be allowed in heaven and that there are some sins, if committed, remove your rights to heaven and guarantee that you will spend eternity in hell.

If you're tired of the problems in the Bible, tired of contradictions, tired of the fear and Christianity, you're not alone.
