Standing outside of Christianity, to Find the Truth

Sometimes, when you're on the inside, it's hard to see what's going on, especially within your community, family or even at church. It was hard for me to see what my ex-wife was doing, while we were married, but after we separated, my vision got clearer and clearer, until I finally had a crystal-clear picture of what she was doing to our relationship.

If you can't clearly see the problem, but you know there's a problem, sometimes you need to step outside of the organization. The biggest problem with this though, is it can be painful and it takes a lot of courage, sometimes. If you think there's a problem, it's your duty as a Christian to locate the problem and do your best to provide a solution for it.

I have been standing outside of Christianity for almost 30 years now. I've been watching them and what they are doing to their religion, very closely. I've been listening to what they have to say and some of them, quite frankly are tearing that religion to pieces.

If Christians are supposed to forgive and love, some of these TV evangelists, are bringing a whole new meaning to Christianity. The other day, I heard something come out of the mouth, of a highly paid Christian in the United States. For those of you who do not know who he is, look him up on the Internet. I have found that it's always better to avoid using names if possible. And it's not the Pope.

Talking about the fall of Christianity if Christians allow same-sex, sexual preferences to be allowed in the church. I have heard others talk about the end of times, Satan knocking at our door, racial prejudices, women's rights and of course, what seems to be my inevitable curse on this planet, the destructive twisting and manipulation of Bible verses to serve the needs of that organization.

You don't have to be standing on the outside to see what's really going on, on the inside, but be prepared to step outside of your organization and possibly your religious beliefs to find the truth.

How do you know when your church or religious organization has overstepped its bounds and is no longer teaching, instead they are only looking after their personal interests. Money and power has corrupted Christian groups for centuries.

Here's what I would do, educate yourself with the Bible. Start with the basics and if anyone isn't teaching the basics, ask why, but ask. Learn how Christianity started and ask questions to anyone who can answer them at your church.

The more you know about the Bible and how Christianity started, the easier it will be to spot the false prophets. Keep one thing in mind, when it comes to Christianity, it's hard to tell which ones are the Wolfs and which ones are the sheep.

Seek the wisdom you are looking for and the doors will be opened.
