If you were walking down the beach and you seen a monkey jump out of the water, only to find out later that none of your friends believed you, you would probably be disappointed. If however, you had a picture of the monkey jumping out of the water or some film footage, this would be an entirely different situation.

The film or picture could provide you with the evidence to support your statement. This could also provide you with benefits of financial fortune in the future. Well the same thing is true about the Bible, there are plenty of people who run around on a daily basis telling everyone that the Bible is true, but don't have any pictures or film footage to verify or explain some of these crazy events in the Bible.

Those crazy Bible facts seem to drive most intelligent people bonkers and I'm one of those people. The minute that someone tells me that the Bible is the written word of God or something that was written in the Bible is supposedly true, sends my mind into a tailspin.

Like the woman on the beach, these people can tell you that it happened, but they don't have enough evidence to support their statements and therefore, some of these crazy Bible facts are no more than words written in a book.

I gave you an example to give you an idea of the problems in Christianity and other religions. If the religious text makes claims without proof, the religious text cannot be taken out of context and made into facts, without evidence. It's not fair for anyone to make statements about the Bible that aren't true, only to persuade others to join their organization.

For centuries now church leaders and followers have been telling other people that these crazy Bible facts are true, even though they don't have enough evidence to support their claims.

I don't know what we're going to do, but I do know what I'm going to do. I'm not going to continue believing in something, just because others are convinced that the Bible is true. Show me some proof and provide me with some evidence to support your theories and I would be glad to change my mind.
