Why Did God Create Atheists?

The part I don't understand, is why would God create any competition for himself. Here's an example of what I'm talking about, God produces a holy book and gives it to his chosen people. He tells these people that he's extremely jealous and he doesn't want them to worship any other gods or idols.

His chosen people understand this, but can't figure out why he created these other gods for other people to worship. Why would God have created Hinduism, Buddhism or any other thing that ended in ism?

The best way that I can answer this question, is for the same reason that God created wolves and tigers. These large carnivorous animals removed the weaker animals from the herds that they prey on. This reduces disease and health problems within the animal world.

This keeps the tigers in wolves strong and their prey stronger. According to Darwinism, this is survival of the fittest at its best.

So God must've created atheists to keep the Christians in line. These atheists are like predators that prey on the weak minded Christians and convince them to join their group. The weaker Christians can't resist and end up becoming atheists.

This doesn't make any sense either, why would God want to create any one that could convince his followers to follow them, instead of God.

Wait a minute, I think I've finally figured it out for the second time. There isn't enough room in heaven and God needs to remove the weaker ones so that only the strong will enter this wonderful place.

This doesn't make any sense either, doesn't God want every one to enter his kingdom. I give up, I don't really know why God created atheists. Maybe an atheist can answer this question.
