Why Did God Sacrifice His Only Son?

Quite a few Christians believe that Jesus came to earth, to sacrifice himself as God's only son, to make our world a better place. In other words, Jesus died so that we no longer needed to sacrifice animals for our sins.

Jesus is the key figure in Christianity and if he truly did die for everyone's sins, do you have to be a Christian to enjoy these benefits. Can someone who believes in Hinduism, enjoy the gift that Jesus and God gave to mankind?

I would personally like to thank Jesus for dying for our sins. He was the only son of God, the creator of everything. I would also like to thank God, for creating everything and then sacrificing his only son, to benefit his other creation, mankind.

I don't know if I could do it, to be honest with you. Sacrifice my only son, to a group of people who really don't seem to care anyway. Some of these people worship money, greed and treat other people poorly. Why would God do such a thing?

I think I can answer the question, because God didn't really do that. God really didn't sacrifice his only son to die for our sins. Why would God need to kill his only son, if he's the creator of everything? He could simply release us from all of our sins. Why would you need to kill anyone and if God did need to kill someone, why wouldn't he have selected another person.

Now if all of this is true and Jesus did die for our sins and we are forever forgiven, why do we need to keep asking for forgiveness? Why do some church leaders require payment or ask us to do certain things, in order to be forgiven.

I'm probably drifting off the topic here, but I hope you have received my message loud and clear. Some things don't make any sense and you can't make any sense out of something’s. I think this is one of those things.

Study early Christianity and the origins of the Bible and you'll soon find yourself on a different path.
